2012 Annual General Meeting

And now the news:
- The U8's on Mon and Wed could use some help. There are 42 kids and two coaches. Be great if there could be two more coaches then they could run a mini league for the kids. It's fabulous to see the enrollment in this age group being so big.
- If you see a coaches on the field with the young ones and it doesn't look like they have enough help volunteer a bit of your time. The worst thing that can happen is you get a bit of exercise. The best is that you find you like it and want to coach
- Registration has ended at Nadan Nessie. If your child is still playing they will granted only so much more slack. Please print off the registration form, attach a cheque to it and give it to the coach. If you are a Blitzz player and need an id card and I don't have a registration form you don't get one.
- There are several board members who are stepping down this season so we need you in order to continue. The more volunteers there are the less each of us has to do and the more likely it is that soccer continues next year.

Hopefully, the last large snowfall has melted and we can start to think about the coming soccer season for real. Soccer will start the week of April 16th pending field conditions and run to June 29th. This year we are running soccer age groups from U5(born 1997) to U18(born 1994). Cost for U5-U8 is $65.00, U9-U10 is $75.00 and cost for U11-U18 is $110.00. In the past we have combined adjacent ages into even years and expect to do the same this year. As soon as we have fimalized all the details we'll let you know. Registration will start March 31st which is the first Saturday after everyone has returned from spring break. It will be done at Nadan Nessie the same as the last two years.
There will be a coaches meeting April 4th at 7:00pm. We need your help! Nothing and I repeat nothing happens without the help of the parents.
Our 2012 AGM will be June 6th at 7:00pm. There are some board members who are retiring and we need your help in replacing them so please attend.

A couple of days ago I was thinking that it was time to find the cleats, a ball and an empty field. However,with the snow last night I think that I'll put that on hold for a bit. The new season is coming soon and as we have details we will post them here.Soccer News

- The Blitzz tournament is over and results are in the Blitzz section.
- A big thanks to Brian Ewashen for the great organization and to all the other volunteers who helped.
- There were 5 new directors elected at the AGM. I'd like to thank those who resigned for their years of effort that they've freely given to Youth Soccer.
